2. When I am registering, it indicates I am a curler? Why is that?
We have adopted our registration system called Curling I/O through Curling Canada. This system provides the North Bay Granite Club staff the use of one platform for both curling and tennis registration, allowing for increased efficiency. We understand it says you are a curler but we know you are a tennis or pickleball player!
3. Why is our club a member of the Ontario Tennis Association?
The Ontario Tennis Association (OTA) is the provincial association that governs the sport of tennis in Ontario. Being a recognized member of the OTA offers our club and members many benefits including but not limited to; the ability to host OTA tournaments, assisting in grant applications, exclusive access to the ONTennis magazine and SPIN Newsletter, discount programs, and various programming options for our club.
4. How does the membership structure work?
The membership and program fees increase every year by 2%. To provide clarity, our membership is broken down into 3 fees (membership fee, capital fee and OTA fee). The capital fee goes into our reserve fund to assist with capital projects at the facility.
